    Theorem connecting Prime and Perfect Numbers

    Theorem:
    If 2k − 1= prime, then 2k − 1 (2k − 1) is a perfect number.

    Examples of Theorem

      K 2K -1 = Prime 2K -1(2K -1) = perfect
      2 22-1 = 3 21(3) = 6
      k= 3 23-1= 7 22(7) = 28
