    Distance vs. Time Graphs News

    Interactive Graph Makers

    Greetings!
Some very cool new programs that I'm quite excited about. Have you ever tried to teach students two represent distance/position over time in a graph? Many students have trouble 'getting it' and we've got some new interactive programs on the site that allow students to make distance vs. time graphs in real time. All three of the programs allow you to move a ship across the screen, creating the graph of distance/position over time. Below is a screen shot:
    Visit this at graphs.mathwarehouse.com/distance-time-graph-activity.php
The picture on the left is the first program described above. You fly the small ship toward the top right corner where the mother craft awaits!

The second program I'm quite excited about is a two person activity that is based around the same idea of making a real time distance vs. time graph. On the following web page graphs.mathwarehouse.com/lab/distance-time-interactive-parnters-activity.php
This program has the first person make a distance vs. time graph and then allows a second player to fly a second ship across the screen with the goal of trying to emulate the first person's graph.
